Navkar, known as the Mantradhiraj or the king of all mantras, is one of the most sacred Jain chants. It contains 68 characters and nine terms and offers salutations to Arihant, Siddha, Acharya, Upadhyaya, and Sadhu, symbolizing the path of a virtuous and enlightened being.
This timeless mantra was composed by Acharya Pushpadantji Maharaj in the second century as part of the Shatkhandagam scripture under the title Mangalacharan. It is believed to be eternal and indestructible and is also revered under names such as Anadi Nidhan Mantra, Aparajit Mantra, Pancha Namaskar Mantra, Mulmantra, and Mahamantra.
